Ham Radio Mentor Sessions!

The ECARC will be holding Mentor Sessions on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 1:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse located at 315 West Jackson Street in Mountain Home. The next session is scheduled for May 8th and will cover Fox Hunt Antenna Building. All that attend are asked to research a Fox Hunt Antenna and bring materials to start building. Some materials will be available, but it is best to bring your own. Click on the following links for some examples.

Testing Sessions

The next license testing session will be held on Saturday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. Test sessions are held at the Elmore County Amateur Radio Clubhouse located on 315 W. Jackson Street in Mountain Home. Tests are $15.00 and you will need to bring your Drivers License/Photo ID. In addition, you will need to get an FCC Registration Number (FRN) through the FCC. License Classes

The Elmore County Amateur Radio Club is in the process of starting to teach License Classes again. If you are interested in ham radio and want to start learning about how to obtain your Technician License; or are already a ham and want to upgrade to General or Extra Class please Click Here to indicate your interest. Please fill out the applicable information and leave your phone number and what class you are interested in so we can schedule accordingly. All classes are free of charge and are usually taught weekly to cover all of the material. You will receive and email when your applicable class will be available. All are welcome!
